Sixth Annual Gorge Ride The ride begins at the Gorge Discovery Center (5000 Discovery Drive, The Dalles) and goes west approx 19 miles along the Historic Highway to the Senator Mark O. Hatfield Trailhead and then back. Total distance is 38.5 miles. Along the way, you'll enjoy the panoramic view at Rowena Crest, you can visit the grounds of the Mayerdale Estate and travel through the restored Mosier Tunnels! You'll also find water stops, snacks and mechanical support. Sponsored by Friends of the Historic Columbia River Highway. Cost: Riders 5 and Under: FREE. 6-11: $15. 12 and up: $35.
