Hood River Citizens for a Local Economy: Hood River City Council will be hearing testimony from local citizen's on 11/26 regarding Walmart's application to expand their store by 30K square feet. Citizen testimony will be limited to 3 minutes. If City Council votes yes on December 10th, the Walmart expansion will pass. - 11/26

Hood River Farmer's Market: Every Thursday from 4-7PM at Hood River Middle School (1602 May Street, across from Jackson Park). - Every Thursday (May 3rd through November 15th)

Windfest Weekend: Enjoy free clinics, gear demos, live music, tasty food and drink + more! Where: Hood River Event Site. When: July 7th and 8th. - 7/7 and 7/8

Travel to Learn: Take classes from area residents and enjoy the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Available classes include but are not limited to: yoga, chocolate, wine, photography, cooking, robotics for kids, kiteboarding, alpaca fiber arts, glass blowing, catamaran sailing, wearable arts and making creme brulee. Hood River Bridge Closure: Begins at 10PM for some necessary maintenance work. The bridge will reopen Friday morning (6.5 hours later) at 4:30AM. - 3/29

Gorge Wine Celebration: Benefits Heart of Hospice Foundation and Helping Hands Against Violence. Meet local winemakers and growers and discover the variety wines grown right here in the Columbia River Gorge. Bid on both live and silent auction packages. When: Saturday, March 24th from 5:30PM-10:30PM. Where: Best Western Hood River Inn (Hood River). Tickets: $75 (Includes a commemorative wine glass, wine tasting, seated dinner, dancing, live music). 69th Annual Roy Webster Columbia River Cross-Channel Swim: 1.1 swim across the Columbia River. Must be 10+ to participate and must register at active.com. Show up at 5:15AM to get on the 1st boat. (There will be 2 boats this year). Entries are expected to exceed 1000+ this year! - 9/5

First Fridays: The city closes down the streets every first Friday of the month during July, August and September and street performers, live music and family fun takes over! Stores stay open late! Come enjoy a festive atmosphere in downtown Hood River! - 7/1, 8/5, and 9/2

Golf: 12th Annual Founder's Cup Golf Tournament at Indian Creek Golf Course. - 8/6

Fourth of July Fireworks: Starts at dusk. Fireworks will be shot off from the Port of Hood River. - 7/4
