Hood River Citizens for a Local Economy: Hood River City Council will be hearing testimony from local citizen's on 11/26 regarding Walmart's application to expand their store by 30K square feet. Citizen testimony will be limited to 3 minutes. If City Council votes yes on December 10th, the Walmart expansion will pass. - 11/26

Hood River Bridge Closure: Begins at 10PM for some necessary maintenance work. The bridge will reopen Friday morning (6.5 hours later) at 4:30AM. - 3/29

69th Annual Roy Webster Columbia River Cross-Channel Swim: 1.1 swim across the Columbia River. Must be 10+ to participate and must register at active.com. Show up at 5:15AM to get on the 1st boat. (There will be 2 boats this year). Entries are expected to exceed 1000+ this year! - 9/5
