CGWA Accepting Nominations for Board of Directors: There are 8 seats up for election. Nominations will be accepted through the first weekend of December. CGWA Board Members serve two year terms. US Windsurfing Nationals: The American Windsurfing Tour comes to Hood River for four days of offreestyle, slalom and racing! When: July 23rd through 26th. Where: Hood River Event Site. All are welcome including junior divisions. Volunteers are still needed! Email Greg at cgwa@gorge.net for more info. - 7/23 through 7/26
Windfest Weekend: Where: Hood River Event Site. When: Saturday July 7th and Sunday July 8th. Beginners welcome! (Free lessons!) Participate in free clinics put on by local professionals! Enjoy live music (Sat. 5-10pm), Sunday morning swap meet (8AM), good food, beer, wine, raffles with prizes and more! For those that would like to get involved, email cgwa@gorge.net or call 541-386-9225. Volunteers get a free t-shirt! This is a family friendly event. Cost: $5 for CGWA members, $10 for non-members. King of the Hook: 1970's all over again! Railrides, duck tacks and tandem sailing are just a few cool things you'll see at this family friendly windsurfing event. Time: 5:30PM. Location: The Hook in H.R. Cost: FREE - 8/13
Swap Meet: Come join us at the Expo Center parking (SW of the Event Site). Setup begins at 7am for sellers. Open to buyers at 8am. Fee: $10 for sellers, buyers are FREE. - 8/7
